N95 DivX Video Conversion

PocketDivxEncoder is the best program I have found for converting DivX video for the N95. It's FREE and it's pretty fast.

This is the main screen and following the instructions below, you should be able to create top quality video for watching on the move in no time in a player such as the excellent SmartMovie.

These are the steps to produce what I consider to be excellent quality videos for playback on the N95.

1) Start program and select second device from the opening wizard (PDA)
2) Choose your file to encode
3) Choose your output file name and its location
4) Set the video quality to 12 and audio quality to 6
5) Increase the 'sound' option to 1
6) Click 'Advanced Options'
6) Activate the Framerate (fps) option and enter 23 fps in the box that appears
7) Leave all other settings and hit 'Encode Now'

Feel free to play about with the settings but these are tried and tested and are the result of many converting hours! That said, the program is actually quite fast - one of the fastest I have tried but definitely the best results!
